PropX was born in Colorado, a state where oil and gas operations are constantly under the microscope over noise, dust and truck traffic with all of these issues addressed by the PropX system.
The current consumption of proppant for hydraulic fracturing operations is unprecedented, leading many to fear that there may be a coming “Proppageddon” where proppant production and logistics simply cannot keep up with demand.
The graph below illustrates the most recent annual consumption volumes from 2010 through 2016. 2017 estimated usage is around 75 Million Tons with more than 100 Million Tons predicted to be consumed in 2018. Our nationwide sand consumption and logistics system is being and will be tested as never before. The PropX system, using widely available conventional flatbed trucking with resulting lower per mile rates for delivery also allows for unloading 50,000# of proppant or more in 5-10 minutes vs a typical “blow-off” operation of 45 minutes or more. This efficiency allows for fewer trucks on the highway and less time and cost of sitting idle waiting to unload.

The PropX Containerized Delivery System was conceived by longtime experts in the aggregate material storage, transfer and delivery industry and then refined “by frac people for frac people”. Our patented components include a designed-for-efficiency container volume that maximizes delivered load capacities by state as well as a software app that tracks those shipments and allows pumping companies, operators, sand suppliers, truckers and dispatchers the ability to monitor volumes at the wellsite, on the truck and at storage terminals as well as to easily order new loads, all from a smartphone. Our containers are moved on conventional flatbed trailers, eliminating the need for costly “custom” chassis equipment and maximizing the availability and rate competitiveness of your own trucking partners. The PropBeast ® Conveyor system is unmatched in its automated ease of use, reliability, load visibility, and delivery rates having delivered a record 9.3MM # of sand in 24 hours with one frac crew. Environmental hygiene testing has proven that the PropX system in most cases already achieves the OSHA 2018 50 mcg/m 3 standards and is 400-1000X cleaner than pneumatic sand transfer operations while also being much quieter.
